Oreo Truffles (formerly known as Oreo Balls)

Oh, yes. This is what I consider Christmas baking. Dip any and everything in melted almond bark! I first had these at Davin's work party four years ago and now I make them every year. They are gauranteed to be a hit- I promise!

Oreo Truffles

1 pkg. of oreos
8 ozs. whipped cream cheese
1 pkg. almond bark, melted
melting chocolate*

Crush oreos and blend well with cream cheese. Roll into balls and dip into melted almond bark. Drizzle with melted chocolate. Freeze or refrigerate until ready to eat! Enjoy! (:

*I sometimes use Christmas sprinkles instead of chocolate drizzle.

Good, I came across this recipe last week and was debating whether to make them or not. They look delicious (and I always like a picture to go along with a recipe when I make it, so THank you!)

They look yumtastical. Just when I thought I was done with my Christmas baking. That's not very nice to do that to me, you know.

Hmmm .. we're having a best dessert/snack contest at our holiday party on Tuesday and I was thinking I should make something that I've never made before - and wouldn't normally make. Perhaps this is it. Can you buy whipped cream cheese? Or do you whip it yourself? Maybe I'll do one batch with Oreos and one batch with Peppermint Jo-Jos from TJ.

They look so pretty... and yummy too -
Are pictures of cookies calorie free? Maybe that is what I should do instead of eating them... hahaha

Yep- I buy it whipped. But I know my sister accidentally bought un-whipped and whipped herself- no prob. :) I swear- everywhere I bring them they are a hit!

Amy- it works for me to just make them- then for some reason they aren't as appealing. I wonder why that is?

I love these! Sara made them one time and they've been a hit with our family ever since. I've been thinking about making them myself. Although, I like the almond bark idea! We dip ours in milk chocolate.

Wow, did you actually make those or is that a scanned picture from a magazine? They're too pretty to eat!

Dersh- that's my word verification. It sounds like the noise of something. Like "Dersh-dersh-dersh." Yeah? Or no. Hmm... I think it's getting a little late.

It does look like a picture out of a magazine! They were delicious! Yes, they are gone so I made more today.
You had said how messy it got for you to drizzle that chocolate on top. Try this: put the chocolate in a bag and cut the corner.. might not get all over the floor that way;)

Did you use pre-melted chocolate, Trista? 'Cuz I'm pretty sure there is still chocolate in the corners of my kitchen. :D
