I love my husband!

Obviously. But this is what he did for me today: Right when he came home from work he fished down Mr. Smily Stupid Balloon from the ceiling, and tied him, SECURELY, to a chair. He always knows just what I need. Thanks for the punching balloon- I love you, Davin. :)

And Mr. Stupid Smiley Balloon was waaay up there, too! How sweet of him- do you feel any better? :)

Well, it's a bit deflated, so it's not as loud... but I took a few swings. The best part is that Davin didn't even say anything or ask- he he came in with a pole, stuck a piece of tape on the end and got it down. How sweet is he?

I love you, too, Davin. Thank you for loving my sister...she's the best, isn't she? (PS Laura - ever think about buying an ACTUAL punching bag?)

Yeah, and maybe your ever loving and understanding hubby would love to see punching bag on your Christmas list:)

It's nice to know that you are married to someone who knows you that well, isn't it? That's sweet. I hope you are feeling much better.
You can find punching bags at Walmart. I bought one myself. Back when Zane was teaching me how to box. I made it really far with those lessons.

I do have a punching bag. 2 problems- it's down on the lower-lower level of the house- not conveniently in my living room- and I can't have that hard contact with my left hand. But I really should keep that in mind for when my left arm heals completely. The punching bag gets forgotten when it's in the lowest level.

plus you'll probably fall down the stairs when you go to punch it.

that *is* sweet!

though as an interesting side note, I just read an overview of a study this morning that said that aggression does not actually make you feel better (e.g. punching a punching bag pretending it's a person). I forgot to copy the link to read the whole study, and am not sure if it applies if you're doing it to relieve stress/tension in general, but I thought it was interesting.

I believe aggression is NOT an effective long-term solution by any mean. However, it's a great momentary stress-reliever! That's my experience, anyway.
